On 5 December 2024, the President of UNIDROIT Prof. Maria Chiara Malaguti and the Senior Legal Officer Dr. Rocco Palma participated in a workshop on International Investment Contracts at the University of Inland Norway (INN), Lillehammer.
The workshop was organised by Prof. Yuliya Chernykh in collaboration with Dr. Rocco Palma, Coordinator of the Task Force on International Investment Contracts and Awards under the Roma Tre-UNIDROIT Centre for Transnational Law and Investment Arbitration, as a moment of discussion with young scholars concerning the evolving landscape of international investment law and the role of contracts.
On the opening day, President Malaguti delivered a keynote speech on the “UNIDROIT – ICC Joint Project on the UPICC and International Investment Contracts,” while Dr. Palma presented a paper on “International Investment Law and the ‘Return to Contract’: A Uniform Law Instrument to Harmonise the Principles of International Investment Contracts”.
