UNIDROIT participates in Digital Assets Conference in Lausanne

On 6 February 2025, Ms Theodora Kostoula, Legal Consultant, participated in the 7th Conference Recontre entre la Science et le Droit dans le Numérique focused on Digital Assets, Digital Inheritance and Digital Afterlife. The conference was organised by the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, as part of La Semaine de la Digitalisation.

Ms. Kostoula delivered a presentation on the UNIDROIT Principles on Digital Assets and Private Law (DAPL Principles), providing insights into the legal instrument, its core principles, and their key implications.

The presentation was followed by a round table discussion chaired by Prof. Alberto De Franceschi. Ms Kostoula participated in an engaging discussion on various aspects of Digital Assets with conference participants and fellow panelists,, including Prof. Antoine Eigenmann, Prof. Edina Harbinja, Prof. Francesco Paolo Patti, Dr. Tamás Sajben, Prof. Elwira Macierzyńska-Franaszczyk, Dr. Philipp Ceesay, and Dr. Tal Morse.
