UNIDROIT at Codeway Expo: Day 1

On 15 May 2024, President Maria Chiara Malaguti participated in a Panel addressed to the Codeway Expo Plenary entitled “Training and Development. Investing in People” to present the UNIDROIT IPLD project, which benefits from the support of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Agency for Cooperation for Development). The panel was moderated by Meraf Villani (of Internationalia) and also featured Marco Riccardo Rusconi (Director of the Italian Agency for Cooperation for Development), Andrea Catizone (Counsellor of the Minister of University and Research, Frank Cinque (General Manager E4Impact Foundation), Filippo Prosperi (Business Development Director, De Lorenzo) and Salvatore Capasso (Director of Department of Human and Social Sciences, Cultural Heritage department of the National Research Council (CNR-DSU)).

The afternoon featured a session on “Law and Development fostering Cooperation and Peace”, organised by the IPLD team,  to focus on the nexus between law, development, cooperation, and peace. President Maria Chiara Malaguti opened the session with Deputy Secretary General Anna Veneziano, and the audience benefitted from the insights of the Head of the Unit for the Global Multilateral Strategy for Development Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Min. Plen. Marco Giungi, IPLD Director Maria Teresa Iaquinta, and IPLD Assistant Coordinator Rebecca Arnieri.
