Professor Anna Veneziano, Deputy Secretary-General of UNIDROIT, participated in the Conference “Digital Vulnerability in European Private Law”, organised by the University of Ferrara on 14-15 June 2023.
The conference focused on the current and future legal status of the concept of digital vulnerability – that is, vulnerability caused by digital technologies – under domestic and EU law, and gathered experts from several jurisdictions around the world.
Professor Anna Veneziano played an active role in Panel 1 “Private Law facing Digital Vulnerability: The Global Challenges, delivering a presentation entitled “New Technologies and UNIDROIT’s Recent Projects: Challenges and Opportunities”. The panel was opened by Professor Alberto De Franceschi, who organised the conference, and saw the participation of Professor Reiner Schulze, University of Münster, as Chair, Ms Egelyn Braun (European Commission, DGJC), Ms Gérardine Goh Escolar (Deputy Secretary General, HCCH), and Ms Teresa Rodríguez de las Heras Ballell (Professor at Carlos III, Madrid).
