On 26 October 2024, UNIDROIT Legal Consultant Ms Theodora Kostoula participated in the 2024 Tsinghua World Forum on the Rule of Law, held in Beijing, People’s Republic of China.
The conference focused on Technology and Rule of Law and discussed the impact of scientific and technological advances on the development of the rule of law. The conference brought together international legal practitioners and scholars.
Ms Kostoula participated in the panel on Legal Regulation of Scientific and Technological Innovation and presented on Digital Assets and Private law, focusing on the unifying role of UNIDROIT through the UNIDROIT Principles on Digital Assets and Private Law.
The session was moderated by Ms Gao Simin (Associate Dean, Tsinghua University) and included: Prof. Ling Bing (Sydney Law School), Prof. Lei Chen (Director, Durham International Dispute Resolution Institute), Prof. Jiangqiu Ge (Assistant Dean, Fudan University Law School), Mr. Jeremy Kleinfeld (Consultant Solicitor, YingKe La Firm), and Prof. Lidia Mikheeva (Director of the Council at the Russian Research Centre of Private Law). Prof. Guobin Cui acted as a discussant and commentator of the presentations.
